The Music Associates Music Publishing  is always searching for talented song writers with fresh and new material to add to our catalog for the purpose of promoting same to major and independent record label companies, record producers, established recording artists, and other music publishing houses, video houses, & the Computer Multi-Media Industry, etc.

Therefore, if you would like to submit your musical works to us for music publishing consideration; first, please make sure the works are legally and formally copyrighted through the U.S. COPYRIGHT OFFICE before forwarding to us any CDs, Cassette or Open Real Tapes, MIDI Files, Sheet Music Notation, or any other type of recorded media of your works!

Make sure to include a photo (if possible) and a brief biography of yourself; including your name, address, telephone number, and other pertinent contact information. Also, we would like to have photo-copies of the formally copyrighted works you are submitting.

PLEASE, NO PHONE CALLS ABOUT YOUR SUBMITTAL. We will definitely contact you by letter or telephone- one way or the other. Also, please allow 2-3 weeks from the date of submission for a reply.

  • SUBMIT  MUSIC USING THE FOLLOWING:

  • Submit only pieces that have had successful performances. Include a recording if you have a good one cassette or CD.

  • Include written permission to use a copyrighted text.

  • Include written permission to make an arrangement for publication of a copyrighted piece of music.

  • Do not send your original copy.

  • We do not return submissions unless an SASE is enclosed.

  • Print or type the text. If you print, do not use all capital letters unless that is the way you want the type set.

  • If the text is in a foreign language, we will want a word-by-word translation and perhaps a paraphrased singable translation in English.

  • We always include information about the writer and the composer plus guidelines for performance. Be prepared to provide this information.

  • We will not return the material you submit to us, so please make sure it is not your only copy of anything you submit.  The Music Associates will retain this material in their files for future reference.

  • All material submitted is unsolicited.
